A few weeks ago our country has experienced the worst and heartbreaking tragedy that Mother Nature has to offer (I could now hear her saying "payback's a bitch"). We've seen the unexpected, horrifying and devastating. But above all cooperation, volunteerism, 'bayanihan' and generosity has evoked the hearts of many. Slowly but surely we will all get through this. After all, we're Filipinos were used to crisis situation and handle everything with a smile.
I want to give a shoutout to the:
- Fearless and selfless fighters. Spot.ph named 10 of them. I know there are lots of them especially the search and rescue team. Kudos to you.
- Twitter Volunteers who tweets infos on how you can help the Ondoy Victims. I want also to want to commend @jungx and @jusap for keeping me and all of us informed.
- Donors who continuosly give cash and relief goods (just look at the grocery stores).
- The volunteers who gave time with their chosen org to reach out.
- Soldiers and policemen.
- Foreign celebs who also sent in their donations (e.g marie digby, jabbawockeez, air supply, arnel pineda, apl.d.ap and a lot more) Thanks.
I don't want to dwell on the negative side of this. All I have to say to the etchuserang politicos na mga frog. This is not the time to blame whoever caused some negligence. May we just focus in the rehabilitation please. Blaming can't feed a thousand people. In case you didn't noticed there's still an ongoing supertyphoon at Northern Luzon. Sheesh!
