I got it here.
The baby doesn't look anything like us! Mabe the markers didn't foresee a global fondness with project.
On the other hand, good thing the baby got MY nose. (*big grin)

USTe.TV has been approved by Fr. Rector de la Rosa and his Council. USTe.TV is the first
and only social networking site in the Philippines specifically created for a school and it's
students & alumni (and quite possibly in Asia)...
USTe.TV is also the only student and alumni social networking website that's officially
approved and endorsed by the UST Administration so it's a great honor for us to be the
pioneers...
We'll have an official launching on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2009 at 4 pm at the UST Main
Building Lobby.
Please attend the LIVE event if you can.
For those of you who are in the provinces and overseas, we're planning to do a LIVE VIDEO
STREAMING webcast of this historic event.
Fellow Thomasians, we are at the threshold of history and we will certainly make history as
we officially launch our very own Thomasian Village.
Together as ONE THOMASIAN VILLAGE, we are now part of GLOBAL HISTORY as we embark
on this 2-year journey towards that ONE HISTORIC DAY - WORLD UST DAY - on January
28, 2011, and celebrate our beloved alma mater's 400th anniversary.
Please take your membership in USTe.TV seriously and use it responsibly :-}
We'll see you on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2009 at 4 pm at the UST Main Building Lobby.

love/magic stars
Kaya mo bang gumawa ng star?
I really don’t know the real name for it. Not until I encountered some ‘star strips’ at Clipper (it costs 50 pesos). I remember some high school level has done this as a project and ended up doing some myself.
It looks good in a:
1. Test tube
2. Bottle (small or large) e.g. G3, ketchup, Gatorade, Sola etc. etc.
3. Jars a.k.a garapon
You can use it as gifts and decorative ornaments. (As for the bottle in the picture above, I'll sticking some pics).
Tip:
- If you want to save 50 pesos (plus the transpo to get to the mall) I suggest using old magazine pages (the more color and glossier the better). Cut it 26 cm for the length and 2 cm for its width.
- To create bigger stars, you have to adjust the measurements by 5 cm. (Well it depends on how large you will be making.
How to make:
I'm no good in translating the instruction. Forgive me
By now I’m still figuring out on how to make a humongous star big enough to go as a Christmas Lantern.
Crocheting is not only for grandmas
I’ve been seeing crochet creations for as long as I could remember. I know that we used to a have a crocheted tablecloth and curtains courtesy of mom and Lola Luring. I‘ve been a keen observer of this intricate creation that one day I decided to learn how (I think I was 10 or 11 years old). I was only limited to chain stitching coz Mommy and Auntie Guritte kept telling me crochet is complicated.
Eventually, Basic Crochet Stitches (with 6 complimentary coasters and glass holders) was the only subject taught in T.H.E. in my former Alma Mater. I took advantage of it and never looked back. My classmates were able to do their own creations (one of them was able to sell a set ). I though t I could sell like her but miserably failed (tinamaan lang ng katamaran). I’m not sure if they still know how to crochet …
I’m not sure when did I set myself free from the glass holder era. All I know is that I could replicate any creation that I can see. Then the emergence of 70’s fashion comebacks and the boom of the cell phone industry has marked its permanence in the market (when I was in college I sold cellphone pouches to add on my weekly allowance). And I am gradually taking it in my system…This is more than just a hobby…its ART! Dynamic-ism is the key to its never-ending evolution.
I think it’s more on self expression that marks the difference of every creation. Reading foreign magazines with subjects of this kind (same goes for fashion and art) details are shown with appreciation, high regard and sophistication. To think that there’s a crochet association in the US. And artists use crochet as a medium.
So whenever someone sniggers with the mention of gantsilyo. I swear, he/she doesn’t deserve BAYO, GAP, high fashion and art.
