'Green' Vacation Tips

I realized my love and insight for travelling when I got a chance to visit Puerto Galera for the first time with Seffy. Its a very moving experience for me. No barriers (language, money, race or dads) should stop you from going from one place to another. That's why I love visiting blogs like Pasyalera, Chuvaness (Shopping trip is a LIKE) and OAP. Much more that I like to visit another country lets not forget our very own archipelago. So my next target stop Bohol and Bolinao, Pangasinan.

In travelling we should not also forget our social responsibility for Mother Nature. Greenpeace sent me through e-mail tips that we should remember while vacationing.

Green Vacation tips

Dear Greenpeace members,

Its summer time and if you like thousands of Filipino families are getting ready to escape to your favorite tourist destination, Greenpeace would like to share some green tips to make your holiday a gratifying experience.

1. Unplug appliances at home: Save energy by switching off and unplugging all electrical appliances you before you leave your home.
2. Reduce waste: bring your own bag when you go out, say no to plastic – straws, bags and sachets.
3. Bottle your own water. Bring your own refillable container instead of buying plastic bottles that will go straight to a landfill when you're finished.  - I'm guilty in this category. Will try to make more pictures instead.
4. No natural souvenirs: Do not disturb the natural ecosystem by bringing home sand, rocks or shells for decoration.
5. Be green even if the hotel isn’t - Turn off lights and air conditioning when you leave the room.

Simple lang, save energy, reduce waste and walk more. It’s easy and it helps the planet. Angel Aquino agrees will and so does Richard Gutierrez.

This tourist awareness campaign is part of the Save the Climate Save Boracay project that Greenpeace and Boracay Foundation are running with national agencies and local government to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy at resorts and hotels.

I always thought that the phi are way better in signage. It’s creative, unique and eye-catching. While the mu guys are ‘wala lang’ and corny.Well nowadays they’re catching up.

The most amusing part are the tarps. When Phi post one Mu are certainly going to put a bigger one, sometimes it’s the other way around.

Rustan’s department at RP Manila has turned into a bargain whore’s heaven… That’s why I don’t go near there. I might give in. But I've already bought some stuff. hehehe.

The store comprise of red tagged items from clothes to kitchen wares. But they still sell regular priced items.

The weather has been unpredictable wWthe past few weeks. One day its hot and humid then next thing you know rain pours downright at your face. I just want a little bit of both, if you'll ask me.

What's up with me the past few months?

Lately I've been pretty interested with cooking and doing graham desserts. I was pretty much inspired by my male co-worker, carlo and chefs I see on TV. They apply art to cooking. They turn ordinary food into magical meal most that are affordable and do-able by the common tao.

 

I'm also relinquishing my love for the art by doing some crochet, bracelets and diy projects once in a while.

Am looking for a reputable emplyment agency for a job placement abroad. I now have my mind at Australia. After evaluating Singapore, I find it not feasible.

Am starting an online business of the things I've mentioned above. I'm still doing some samples.

My fan girl hormones are on the rage again because of jabbawockeez! I have to have their t-shirts!

Will be coming to the Lion City to see seffy <3

aargh...

am in pain!!!

Right now I'm suffering from pain starting from my left flank radiating under my butt. I've already had my urinalysis check but it was normal. I'm considering sciatica because of my undeniable increase in weight (well I've successfully reduced my waistline bulging thanks to Lesofat). Then I've had my occassional reflexology session to alleviate pain. After 2 days its hurting like crazy! I've been walking, standing and sitting like I'm some old woman suffering from arthritis. 

I also have my right arm pain starting to my hand up to the scapular area of my back. 

I've just started feeling this ailments eversince becoming a nurse. Gosh! I better stopstressing myself that much!

If you'll be asking me if I was seen by the doctor. Procrastination and excuses have got the best of me. But I promise after the Tree Top Adeventure I'll be going to the MD.    :p
