Not Again!

Lets pray for our fellow brothers and sisters in Chile.

This is really devastating. I heard from the news that the after effects of the said quake would be in the form of a tsunami. It would be hitting Hawaii and Philippines. To my kababayans, please listen to advisories and evacuate immediately if you should.

the past few days and some WWW round-up

I've been up and about the past few days. I've been working on changing my life the reason that I've been  busy. Along the way,  there are some road blocks but that won't  stop me from following my dream.

============
  • A few days ago, it was my first time to visit Sofitel. It's gorgeous! I just adore garden facing Manila Bay. Sayang, we missed the sunset.

  • Inside Sofitel, I was able to see the most talked about buffet, Spiral. One day, I would love to try it.
  • I saw Nonito Donaire Jr. with his wife. They look good together. I just love couples that are walking hand in hand together. Congratulations for the win.

I've been receiving lots of nice e-mail forwards...If you want to contact them go ahead :)

    XOXO

    Winnerz!!!

I got this from my e-mail eons ago... We created something big.

    Dear ONE Member,
Fabulous news for a Monday... thanks to you, we’ve won global commitment to cancel Haiti’s debt. Here’s the latest from this weekend...
Your signature was one of 400,000 delivered to the G7 finance ministers meeting in Canada by ONE member Michèle Bertol, a Haitian Canadian living in the small arctic town of Iqaluit (the G7 can run but they can’t hide, ONE members are truly global!). More than 200,000 ONE members signed the petition and a further 200,000 signatures came from our friends at Avaaz, Oxfam, and the Jubilee Debt Campaign.
While in Iqaluit, Canadian Finance Minister James Flaherty announced that all G7 countries – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US – have agreed to cancel Haiti’s debts. Exactly what we were hoping for.
You can learn more and share your thoughts on this victory with other ONE members on the ONE Blog:
    http://www.one.org/international/blog/category/haiti/?id=1447-1500690-_38hKNx&t=2
    handing over the petition

Michèle handing over the petition on Saturday
Though the process isn’t complete yet, I’m confident that we’re on track to see full cancellation of Haiti’s debt. It looks very much like Haitians will receive the clean slate they need to start to rebuild.
Thank you so much for making this happen. Moments like this remind me of why this work matters and just how powerful we can be when we act together. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve next.
Yours indebted, er, but not in debt...

So just keep on supporting for a debt free Haiti.
    XOXO :)

    once-a-week self portrait

    sleepy

I decided to post some once-a-week self portraits because, I have lots of pictures of myself that are creatively thought of or just plain case of cam-whoring. I'm inspired by Aaron (from Kansas City) gratuitous picture of yourself Wednesday thingy on his tumblr account ( I got there thru photojojo).

There are no rules for my OAWSP  for now. I'll just let my so-called creativity flow. I also want to improve ninja photo taking skills thru our point and shoot cam (that is until I could afford a DSLR). I'm a frustrated model srsly. I know I'm not a model material. So I'll be my own model. ;p

The picture above is taken years ago after waking up. It's a moment that I'm-awake-but-I-still-don't-want-to-get-up moments. I used my cellphone cam Sony Ericsson K750i ( I missed that phone its LCD is busted)

I'm looking forward for more OASWP's.

    XOXO

    Yahoo! round-up

I'm always fascinated with the Yahoo featured stories in categories of sports, entertainment and all things wonderful and the not so wonderful. Though, MSN has a pretty organized story category too, I just love the randomness of Yahoo. Here's what I found around the interwebs.

    1. Online Money-Making Career
            - please take note blogging is first in the list.
    2.  Is there such thing as safest house in the world?
    3.  Aaaawww that rabbit is so cute and humongous!
    4.  I did not know that humpty dumpty was not an egg at all.
5 .I ve seen this video circulating in Facebook. The "Whatever Baby."

    6.Lizzie Maguire is engaged!

    that's all for now

    XOXO

    strangled

I am at loss right now. This is the moment wherein I don't know what will I do next. I want OUT but I can't. Must find another way to support myself and to not let the special persons in my life to be disappointed with me.

I know the easiest way out is to quit. But I'm never a quitter.

    I will find a way
    So help me GOD

    They just need our voice

I have been supporting some community campaigns in Youthsays for some time now. I could say that I'm happy that a lot of youths has been doing their part on saving the planet and helping others. The world leaders can't do it alone. Like what Efren Penaflorida said "We are the change that this world needs"

I'm encouraging you (dear followers, blog-hoppers and stalkers) to support any of the campaigns that I've posted. And what does it cost you for clicking? A better planet and a reward of course!

Organizer: Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. Greenpeace is present in 40 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Pacific. To maintain its independence, Greenpeace does not accept donations from governments or corporations but relies on contributions from individual supporters and foundation grants. As one of the longest banners we've ever made summed things up, "When the last tree is cut, the last river poisoned, and the last fish dead, we will discover that we can't eat money..."

Organizer:  ASEAN LOGICS Kuala Lumpur 2010 which is organized by WAWASAN CLUB of International Islamic University Malaysia in association with Japan-ASEAN Solidarity Fund and Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia.

Organizer: ONE is a campaign and advocacy organisation with more than 2 million members committed to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. Cofounded by Bono and other campaigners, ONE is nonpartisan and works closely with African policy makers and activists

    4. WAR AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Organizer: Visayan Forum - A society where marginalized migrants, especially Filipino women and children, are free, protected and empowered. It is a non-profit, non-stock and tax-exempt non-government organization in the Philippines established in 1991, licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to provide "residential care and community-based programs and services for women and children in especially difficult circumstances." VFFI works for the protection and justice of marginalized migrants, specifically the trafficked women and children and the domestic workers or kasambahays.
    5. BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, I CAN TELL YOU...

In my field of work I could see many are dying from cancer. Number of mortality due to cancer should be decreased. I sure hope this could be in the near future. I know it won't be easy but we could do this.

Organizer: The International Union Against Cancer (UICC) is the leading international non-governmental organization dedicated exclusively to the global control of cancer.

    Dear John: my valentine movie

And I thought it'll be Valentine's Day movie.

I've seen the trailer late last year and I told myself  "I'm going to watch it in the cinemas." February 5 is near, I can't wait!
